Education and Experience - Dr. Jay Cook, D.C.

Educated at West Point (class of  1961) and (much) later at Palmer-West Chiropractic College, he became passionately interested in health when he achieved some celebrity as the Army's age group marathon champion.

As a marathoner he experimented with ways to optimize performance without getting injured and, finally, deciding that the subject was worth a formal commitment. So Warrior Jay Cook retired from the Army and went back to school for a doctor of chiropractic degree and now has a thriving practice with his wife, Karen, who is a licensed acupuncturist, in Monterey.

Dr. Jay's “niche” is soft tissue.   Active people are often afflicted with neuromusculoskeletal (nerve, muscle, skeleton) problems stemming from injury or overuse.  Spinal and extremity pain are almost always a combination of soft-tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament) and joint problems.   He quickly returns such patients to their active life-style.

Dr. Jay has dedicated his life to achieving peak performance and health and is ready to bring forth the experience and wisdom to help you achieve optimum wellness.
